All About Me

Education:

I grew up in Huron, South Dakota. I graduated from Huron High School.I graduated from SDSU with a degree in Social Work, and went on to work at the Huron Area Adjustment Training Center, Sioux Vocational Services and the Black Hills Workhop and Training Center.

I went back to school at the University of South Dakota and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in
Special Education.

Teaching:

My first teaching job was at Woodfield Center in Beresford, SD, working with students in 7-12 grade, in a residential placement setting. After 2 years there I then taught special education in Bakersfield, CA for one year and Paso Robles, California for 5 years. This is my 15th year teaching special education in the Brandon Valley school district.

Family:

My husband, Chuck and I have one daughter, Caitlin. She is a a freshman in high school this year.
